St. Mary’s – Wryneck near Giants’ Castle, 2 Black Redstarts on Peninnis Head & 1 at Peninnis Far. Yellow-browed Warblers at Newford Duck Pond, Lower Broome & Trenoweth and a Lesser Whitethroat was on the western side of Peninnis. A juvenile Arctic Tern was in Old Town Bay, a Sandwich Tern was in the Roads, 10 Whooper Swans were on Porth Hellick Pool, 3 Bar-tailed Godwits were on Porthloo Beach, a Jack Snipe was behind the Dump and Ring Ouzels were at Carn Vean & Bar Point. A Lapwing flew over Porth Hellick, a Balearic Shearwater flew past Peninnis, 5 Common Scoter were in the Roads and Mistle Thrush & Fieldfare were on the Garrison. A Common Redstart was at Normandy and Spotted Flycatchers were at Carn Friars & Porth Hellick Down, Also on the island were at least 8 Firecrests and a Hen Harrier which then flew over St. Martin’s.
Tresco – 7 Wigeon, 3 Pintail, a Little Grebe, 2 Golden Plovers, a second-winter Mediterranean Gull,a Common Redstart, a Yellow-browed Warbler and a Snow Bunting.
St. Agnes – 5 Whooper Swans, 5 Bar-tailed Godwits, a Wryneck, a Black Redstart, 3 Yellow-browed Warblers and a Rose-coloured Starling.
St. Martin’s – 3 Sooty shearwaters, 2 Sandwich Terns & 4 Puffins flew past. On land there were 6 Golden Plovers, 9 Bar-tailed Godwits, a LITTLE BUNTING, a Firecrest, 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, a Common Redstart, a Black Redstart, a Fieldfare and a Lesser Whitethroat.
Bryher – RICHARD’S PIPIT, Tree Pipit, Ring Ouzel, Black redstart, Fieldfare and Lesser Whitethroat.
Eastern Isles – Summer plumage Great Northern Diver
At sea – From a shark fishing trip – 8 Sooty shearwaters, 15+ Great Skuas, Storm Petrel and Arctic Skua. Also seen on this trip were a Basking Shark and a Blue Shark, the latter been caught, tagged and released.
