Monday 31st March 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool and 9 Sand Martins flew through Lower Moors. St. Agnes – The Hoopoe was still in a field below the Parsonage and a pair of Ring Ouzels were on Wingletang Down.

Sunday 30th March 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

There was a fall of Willow Warblers with 10 at Porth Hellick, 16 on St. Agnes and 15 on Bryher. St. Mary’s – The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were in a field between Pelistry and Mount Todden. St. Mary’s – The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool. St. Agnes – The Hoopoe was still present. Bryher – A Ring Ouzel and a Black Redstart.

Friday 28th March 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – A Serin flew from fields behind Ennor Close, Old Town towards Lower Moors, a Wheatear was on the Golf Course and the 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool.

St Mary’s – Juvenile Iceland Gull on the golf course this a/noon, Serin at 10:58hrs  flew over Tremelethen Farm towards the airfield. Ring Ouzel on airfield this evening and 2 Adult Greenland White-fronted Goose  on Porth Hellick Pool St Agnes – Hoopoe showing well in private fields this morning

Friday’s birds were: St. Mary’s – The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool and a Black Redstart was on Porthloo Beach. Tuesday’s birds were: St. Mary’s – The adult Night Heron flew over Shooters’ Pool, Lower Moors towards the airfield at 19:15. The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool.
