Tuesday 29th September 2015 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Agnes – The Red-eyed Vireo which had not been seen since Saturday was relocated at the Fruit-cage before moving round the corner to the Chapel Fields. Monday 28th September 2015 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – A Richard’s Pipit was seen on Peninnis, on the Airfield and at Trewince, most likely just 1 roaming bird. The 3 Lapland Buntings were still on the Airfield and Yellow-browed Warblers were seen at Watermill & Trenoweth. An Ortolan Bunting was briefly in a field on Peninnis, Read more…

Sunday 27th September 2015 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – A Short-toed Lark was on the Golf Course briefly, a Richard’s Pipit, a Skylark & 3 Lapland Buntings were on the Airfield and 1 Lapland Bunting was on Peninnis. The juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper was still on Porth Hellick Pool and an early Redwing flew over Star Castle. Read more…

Saturday 26th September 2015 IoS Bird Sightings

Friday 25th September 2015 IoS Bird Sightings

A PECHORA PIPIT was caught and ringed at Porth Hellick ringing station, the Grey-cheeked Thrush was still at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes and the Glossy Ibis was still on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.
