Sunday A juvenile Ruff and 5 Wheatear were on the airfield. At Porth Hellick 9 Greenshank, 2 Dunlin & 9 Ringed Plover were on the beach, a Common Sandpiper was on the Pool and a Cetti’s Warbler was in the bushes. A Crossbill was at Longstone. Thursday 42 Great Shearwater, 26 Cory’s Shearwater, a Sooty Shearwater & a Balearic Shearwater flew past Peninnis and 15 Great Shearwater, a Cory’s Shearwater & 2 Sooty Shearwater flew past Deep Point. Tuesday A Balearic Shearwater flew past Peninnis Head and a Cory’s Shearwater was seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip to Penzance. A Green Sandpiper was between Pendrathen & Bar Point and a Whinchat & a Wheatear were near Peninnis Lighthouse. Sunday 6 Whimbrel & 9 Greenshank were in Porth Hellick Bay and a Green Sandpiper flew over the airfield. A Sooty Shearwater flew past Giant’s Castle and 15 Mediterranean Gull, a Yellow-legged Gull & 34 Sandwich Tern were at Porthcressa. A Pied Flycatcher was in the bushes at Newford duck Pond. Friday A Great Northern Diver was off St. Agnes and a Lapwing, a Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 10 Greenshank & a Cetti’s Warbler were at Porth Hellick. Wednesday A Sooty Shearwater flew past Peninnis Head, a Common Sandpiper was in Lower Moors and a Crossbill was at Longstone Thursday 3 Swift were over Old town and the Crossbill was still at Longstone.
