Highlights of Tuesday’s log were:

Upland Sandpiper – 1 still at Borough Farm, St. Mary’s
American Golden Plover – 1 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s
Least Sandpiper – 1 on Tresco
Lesser Yellowlegs – 1 on St. Mary’s and 1 on the Great Pool Tresco
Northern Waterthrush – Seen occasionally from the ISBG hide in Lower Moors but showed more reliably on and off at Higginson’s Pool
Great Shearwater – 4 on a pelagic trip
Sooty Shearwater – 1 on the pelagic trip
Manx Shearwater – 2 on the pelagic trip
European Storm-petrel – 10+ on the pelagic trip
Little Egret – 15 in Tresco channel
Spoonbill – 1 on Green Island.
Marsh Harrier – 1 over Annet and Samson
Spotted Crake – 1 early morning at Porth Hellick
Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 on the Big Pool, St. Agnes
Great Skua – 15+ on the pelagic trip
Turtle Dove – 2 on the Garrison, 1 at Pelistry and 2 on St. Agnes
Short-eared Owl – 1 on Porth Hellick Down
Wryneck – 3 on St. Mary’s and 1 on St. Martin’s
Short-toed Lark -1 on the airfield
Red-throated Pipit – 1 at Carn Friars
Bluethroat – 1 at Porth Hellick
Black Redstart – 2 Pelistry, 2 Bryher and 1 on St. Agnes
Dartford Warbler – 1 on Bryher
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 Newford Duck Pond and 1 on Bryher
Firecrest – 2 Newford Duck Pond and 1 at the riding stables
Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 still in the Parsonage, St. Agnes
Red-backed Shrike – 1 still on Tresco
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 on Sallyport
Siskin – A small arrival with about 40 reported
Common Rosefinch – 1 at the dump
Lapland Bunting – 1 on St. Agnes and 3 on St. Martin’s
Snow Bunting – 3 on Peninnis, 2 Porth Hellick Down, 1 on St. Agnes and 1 on St. Martin’s
