Turtle Dove – 1 still on Five Islands School playing field, 4 on Lowertown Farm, St. Agnes and 2 at Highertown St. Martin’s (photo).

Common Scoter – 1 near Nut Rock, Tresco.

Raven – 1 flew over Popplestone, Bryher.

Hooded Crow  – 1 on Wingletang. St. Agnes.

Wood Warbler – 1 on Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 briefly near Newford Duck Pond.

Common Whitethroat – 1 Green Farm.

Garden Warbler – 1 Newford Duck Pond.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 at Lower Town, St. Agnes and 1 at Stinky Porth, Bryher.

Tuesday (05/05)

Night Heron – 1 over Cove Vean, St. Agnes towards Gugh.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still on Bryher Campsite.

Hawfinch – 1 at Highertown, St. Martin’s (photo).

Turtle Dove – 2 in the field opposite Vale View Cottage, 1 Barnaby Lane & 3 Lowertown Farm, St. Agnes and 2 at Highertown St. Martin.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Bishop’s View and 1 at Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

Wednesday (06/05) 

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still on Bryher on the games field at Bryher Campsite.

Golden Oriole – 1 singing briefly at Carreg Dhu.

Great Northern Diver – 1 in Porth Cressa.

Grey Plover – 1 at St. Warna’s Well, St. Agnes.

Common Sandpiper – 2 at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes and 1 on Bryher Pool.

Turtle Dove – 2 Lowertown Farm, St. Agnes.

Garden Warbler – 1 at Periglis, St. Agnes.

Thursday (07/05)

Subalpine Warbler  – A female was seen on Porth Killier bank, St. Agnes. Whether this is the same bird as the one seen 2 weeks ago is anyone’s guess.

Night Heron – 1 flew over Troy Town.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at Bryher Campsite.

Pochard – A pair with 9 ducklings were on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – A summer plumage bird was near Annet (photo).

Common Sandpiper  – 1 on rocks at the end of the Garrison.

Golden Oriole – 1 was singing at Carreg Dhu, 2 possibly 3 in the trees opposite the entrance to Holy Vale Vineyard, 1 by Watermill Cottages, 1 on Watch Hill, Bryher and 1 by Pentle House, Tresco.

Garden Warbler – 1 behind the Stephen Sussex hide at Porth Hellick.

White Wagtail – 1 on St. Agnes cricket pitch.

Friday (08/05)

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at Bryher Campsite.

Dartford Warbler – The male was still singing on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s. This bird has now been present over 6 weeks.

Golden Oriole  – 1 singing in the pines on Sandy Lane, 1 was at Trenoweth, 1 at Ennor Close, Old Town, 1 was in Popplestone Fields, Bryher, and 1 flew from Wingletang towards Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

Great Northern Diver  – A summer plumage bird was off the Garrison.

Shoveler  –  3 (2 drakes & a female) were on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew high over the Daymark, then over lower Moors and was last seen over the Great Pool, Tresco.

Short-eared Owl  – 1 behind the fire station on St. Mafrtin’s.

Golden Plover  – 1 flew over Borough Farm, Tresco

Purple Sandpiper   – 5 on the Western Rocks.

Common Sandpiper  –1 on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 at Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Garden Warbler – 1 at Periglis, St. Agnes.

Turtle Dove – 1 in a ploughed field west of the Sandy Lane pines.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 by the Carb Friars Farm Track and 1 at Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Tree Pipit – 1 near Telegraph Tower.

Saturday (09/05)

Quail  – 1 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Great White Egret – 1 flew south over Lower Moors.

Marsh Harrier  – 1 Porth Hellick and later seen over Porthloo.

Hobby – 1 perched in a dead pine tree to the east of Holy Vale.

 Golden Oriole – 1 again on Wingletang Down, St. Agnes.

Turtle Dove – 5 in a ploughed field west of the Sandy Lane pines and 1 in opposite Vale view at the top of the rad to Holy Vale Vineyard.

Garden Warbler – 1 in the elms behind Old Town Church and 1 by Lowertown Farmhouse, St. Agnes.

Yellow Wagtail – 2 on St. Agnes, 1 on the cricket pitch and 1 in a field at the Wingletang end of Barnaby Lane.

Sunday (10/05)

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at Bryher Campsite.

Marsh Harrier  – 1 flew over Tresco Channel heading towards the Great Pool, Tresco and later was over Higher Moors/Holy Vale.

Hobby – 1 flew east over Porth Hellick and 1 was at Little Bay, St. Martin’s.

Caspian Gull – A near adult was Morning Point on the Garrison

Turtle Dove – 5 in a field on Sandy Lane.

Golden Oriole – 1 was singing in the garden of Longstone Cottage and 2 on Sandy Lane flew towards Holy Vale.
