Thursday 3rd November 2011 IoS Bird Reports

St. Mary’s – The Northern Waterthrush was at Higgo’s Pool at dawn and nearby in Lower Moors were the Dusky Warbler & 2 Yellow-browed Warblers. 2 Yellow-browed Warblers & 2 Siberian Chiffchaff were at Newford Duck Pond and a Yellow-browed Warbler, 2 Firecrests & a Siberian Chiffchaff were at Higher Moors. 2 Black Redstarts were on Porthloo Beach and another was at Shark’s Pit.

Tresco – The Lesser Yellowlegs, the White-rumped Sandpiper, the Pectoral Sandpiper and the Spotted Crake were all still present. Also on the island were 12 Mediterranean Gulls and a Yellow-browed Warbler.
