Highlights from Friday night’s log ( the last of the season):-

There were no boats to off-islands, so only birds seen on St. Mary’s are listed.

Dusky Warbler still at Higher Moors.

Brent Goose – 3 pale bellied birds on Porthloo.

Common Scoter – 1 in Porthcressa.

Red-breasted Merganser – 1 in Porthcressa.

Balearic Shearwater – 1 off Morning Point.

Spoonbill – 2 over the Garrison.

Merlin – 1 Hugh Town and 1 Holy Vale.

Jack Snipe – 1 Porth Hellick and 1 Lower Moors.

Woodcock – 1 Innisidgen, 1 Pelistry and 1 on the Garrison.

Great Skua – 1 off Peninnis.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 Porth Hellick.

Whinchat – A late bird at Pelistry.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 6 on St. Mary’s.

Firecrest – 7 on St. Mary’s.

Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 in the Garrison Pines.

Serin – 2 near the incinerator.

Lapland Bunting – 1 Porth Hellick Down.
