Friday 12th to Thursday 18th August 2016 IoS Bird Sightings

Friday’s birds were: St. Mary’s – 4 Dunlins & a Green Sandpiper were at Porth Hellick Pool and 6 Sandwich Terns were at Bar Point. Bryher – 28 Ringed Plover and 3 Willow Warblers. Inter-island waters – A Mediterranean Gull, 10 Common and 6 Sandwich Terns were in Tresco Channel. Read more…

Sunday 7th to Thursday 11th August 2016 IoS Bird Sightings

Sunday’s birds were: St. Mary’s – 3 Wheatears were on the airfield. Tresco – 60+ Sanderlings, a Common Redshank, a Turnstone and 10+ Whimbrels. Teän – 2 Mediterranean Gulls.
