St Mary’s – Two Long-eared Owls were seen at dusk in Lower Moors along with at least four Woodcock. Many Water Rails were calling from this area as the light faded.

Roads – On a cruise around the island at lunchtime today a Black-throated Diver, up to six Great Northern Divers, the flock of 35+ Common Scoters near the Eastern Isles, a Mediterranean Gull to the east of Tresco and the three Spoonbills on Samson were seen. Also four Purple Sandpipers, Read more…

St Mary’s – One plus Long-eared Owls were seen at dusk near the ‘Shooters Pool’ on Lower Moors this evening St Agnes – Single Raven, Merlin, Peregrine, Little Egret and Greenshank were seen on the island today along with two Redshanks
