Saturday 2nd March 2013 IoS Bird Sightings

Iceland Gull, Porth Mellon, (Kris Webb)

St. Mary’s – The 3rd winter Iceland Gull was commuting between the dump & Porth Mellon Beach and the Black Redstart was still on Porthloo Beach. The 3 Ring-necked Ducks ( a first-winter drake and 2 first-winter females) had returned from Tresco to Porth Hellick Pool. The 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on the Carn Friars’ Farm Field behind the ringing station
