Highlights from Tuesdays bird log include:

Hume’s Leaf Warbler – 1 still in the dump clump

Solitary Sandpiper – Yesterday’s bird was relocated on a muddy pool in a field on Old Town Lane.

Blackpoll Warbler – 1 was still on Bryher.

Olive-backed Pipit – 1 was found at Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s.

American Golden Plover – 1 was on Porth Hellick Down and the airfield.

Ring-necked Duck – A first-winter male and 2 females were on the sea at Porthloo and then flew to Lower Moors before moving to Porth Hellick Pool.

Short-toed Lark – 1 was still at Carn Friars.

Richard’s Pipit – 1 on the Garrison and 1 on St. Agnes.

Coal Tit – 2 on St. Martin’s, 2 on Bryher, 8 on St. Agnes and 2 on St. Mary’s.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 Porth Hellick Loop, 1 Holy Vale, 1 in the Dump Clump,1 opposite Bordeaux Pottery, 4 on St. Martin’s, 1 on Tresco and 3 on St. Agnes.

Sabine’s Gull – 1 past Peninnis.

Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 in Old Town Churchyard.

Whooper Swan – 6 on still the Great Pool, Tresco.

Wigeon – 1 on Tresco and 2 at Pelistry.

Great Northern Diver – 1 flew west over St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater – 2 past Porth Hellick, 2 past the Daymark, St. Martin’s and 1 on a pelagic trip.

Balearic Shearwater – 2 past Porth Hellick Down, 1 past Deep Point and 2 on a pelagic trip.

Spoonbill – 1 still on Green Island, Samson.

Little Egret – 16 in Tresco Channel.

Merlin – 1 on St. Mary’s, 1 on St. Martin’s and 1 on St. Agnes.

Grey Phalarope – 1 on a pelagic trip.

Pomarine Skua – 1 past Peninnis.

Arctic Skua – 1 flew west past Porth Hellick and there were 2 on a pelagic trip.

Great Skua – 4 flew past Porth Hellick and there were 3 on a pelagic trip.

Little Gull – A first-winter bird was seen on the pelagic trip.

Sabine’s Gull – 1 past Peninnis.

Mediterranean Gull – A second -winter bird was at Porthloo.

Short-eared Owl – 1 at Salakee Down.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – There were reports from Higher Moors, the Garrison a,d Old Town Church, probably involving to birds..

Black Redstart – 1 Carn Thomas, 1 Porth Hellick Down and 1 on the Garrison..

Common Redstart – 1 on Bryher.

Whinchat – 1 Porth Minnick and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Ring Ouzel – 1 Porth Hellick Down.

Firecrest – 1 Newford Duck Pond and 1 at Jac-a-ba.

Spotted flycatcher – 1 in the Dump Clump, 1 on the Garrison and 2 on St. Agnes.

Pied flycatcher – 3 on St. Agnes.

Siskin – 1 on the Garrison and 1 Borough Farm on St. Mary’s.

Lesser Redpoll – 3 on St. Martin’s, 1 in the Dump Clump and 1 at Old Town.

Lapland Bunting – 2 on St, Agnes,

Snow Bunting – 1 at Carn Thomas.
