Tresco – The Short-billed Dowitcher was not relocated until late afternoon when it was found on the beach near Skirt Island and showed down to 30 feet! Also on the island were 2 Pied & 4 Spotted Flycatchers, a Wryneck, a Yellow Wagtail and a Grey Plover.

St. Mary’s – The Citrine Wagtail was still on Porth Hellick Pool, where there was also a Black-tailed Godwit. The 2 Buff-breasted Sandpipers and the Dotterel were still on the airfield. An Arctic Skua was in The Roads.

At sea – A short range pelagic trip in the evening proved fruitful with the birders on board seeing 30 Cory’s, 5 Great & 4 Sooty Shearwaters, 5 European Storm-petrels, an Arctic Skua and 7 Great Skuas. Also 4 Blue Sharks were caught tagged and released
