Mondays highlights reported at the bird log were:

Black Kite – 3 left their roost in Holy Vale and flew over St. Mary’s to St. Agnes, Gugh, back to St, Mary’s and then to Tresco, just 1 returned to St. Mary’s late in the afternoon.
Upland Sandpiper – 1 still at Borough Farm, St. Mary’s
American Golden Plover – 1 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s
Lesser Yellowlegs – 1 on the Great Pool Tresco
Northern Waterthrush – Showed dawn and dusk at Higginson’s Pool
Wilson’s Snipe – 1 still at Lower Moors
Radde’s- Warbler – 1 at Salakee Farm
Bonelli’s Warbler sp – 1 was seen at Content but was not identified as Western or Eastern Bonelli’s
Brent Goose – 1 off St. Martin’s, then seen of Teän and St. Agnes
Great Northern Diver – 1 north of TrescoSpoonbill – 1 on Green Island.
Hen Harrier – A ringtail on St. Martin’s
Pomarine Skua – 1 off the Daymark
Arctic Skua – 1 past Peninnis
Arctic Tern – An adult on St. Martin’s and perhaps the same bird past Mount Todden
Turtle Dove – 1 at Nowhere
Short-eared Owl – 1 on Tresco
Richard’s Pipit – 1 on Peninnis
Bluethroat – 1 at Porth Hellick/Carn Friars
Black Redstart – 12 on St. Mary’s and 3 on Gugh
Ring Ouzel – 1 on St. Martin’s and 2 on the Garrison
Melodious Warbler – 1 at Carn Gwarvel
Yellow-browed Warbler – 6 on St. Mary’s and 1 on St. Agnes
Firecrest – 6 on St. Mary’s
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 near the Vinery on St. Martin’s
Lesser Redpoll – The first of the autumn were 2 at Borough Farm, St. Mary’s
Lapland Bunting – 4 on St. Martin’s
Snow Bunting – 1 on Peninnis
