Friday 29th October 2021 – IoS Bird Sightings

Friday (29/10) After scrutiny of photographs, the Acro seen yesterday and identified as a putative Blyth’s Reed Warbler, has been re-identified as a Reed Warbler. Spotted Sandpiper – 1 still on St. Mary’s at Pendrathen. Western? Subalpine Warbler – A0n individual seen in fields east of Telegraph Road was thought to be this species (photo). Thursday (28/10) Lesser Scaup – The first-winter bird was still on the Great Pool, Tresco.
