American Pipit – 1 still on St. Agnes, between Barnaby Lane and St. Warna’s Cove.

Spotted Sandpiper – 1 was still at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.

Rustic Bunting  – 1 was seen north of the pool on St. Agnes.

Little Bunting  – 1 was trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick Ringing Station (photo).

Hoopoe – 1 was still on St. Agnes.

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 still on roofs in Old Town.

Common Rosefinch – 1 still on Porth Hellick Beach.

Lapland Bunting – 1 still on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Hawfinch  – 1 flew over the Standing Stones Field towards the school.

Yellow-legged Gull – 1 still on the west side of Peninnis and 1 Porth Wreck.

European Storm-petrel – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Great Shearwater – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 350 on the return journey to Penzance.

Sooty Shearwater – 8+ in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Manx Shearwater – 5 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Great Skua – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 2 on the return journey to Penzance.

Arctic  Skua – 1 flew through the Roads towards St. Martin’s and 1 lingering off Deep Point and 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Puffin – 2 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Black-necked Grebe  – 1 still off South Beach, Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 2 still on Tresco.

Spoonbill – 2 on Stony Island.

Common Scoter – 1 in the Roads (photo).

Jack Snipe – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool and 1 on Lower Moors Pool.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Whimbrel – 2 off Bar Point and 1 on St. Agnes.

Common Gull – 2 on Middle Town Beach, St. Martin’s.

Marsh Harrier  – 1 over Samson.

Merlin – 1 over Peninnis, 1 over Sandy Lane and 1 Porthloo Beach,

Kingfisher – 1 Old Town Bay and 1 Porth Cressa.

Wryneck – 1 still on rocks below Peninnis Lighthouse and 1 still in a garden near Stinky Porth, Bryher.

Turtle Dove – 1 on Pool Road, Tresco.

Skylark – 5 on St. Mary’s, 1 over Lower Town Farm, St. Agnes, 1 over Wingletang, St. Agnes and 2 over Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Firecrest – 22+ on St. Mary’s,  4 on Tresco, 3 on Bryher and 3 on St. Agnes.

Yellow-browed Warbler  – 1 Higher Moors, 1 Holy Vale, 1 Dump Clump, 1 Shooters Pool, 2 Newford Duck Pond, 1 on Pool Road, Tresco and 1 on St. Agnes.

Garden  Warbler – 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 1 in the Standing Stones field.

Lesser Whitethroat –  1 still in the Standing Stones Field and 1 still by Shooters’ Pool.

Common Whitethroat – 1 at Watermill.

Mistle Thrush – 1 by the Cadet Hut on the Garrison and 1 on Helvear.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 Dump Clump, 1 on Normandy Down, 1 Porth Wreck, 1 near the Cadet Hut on the Garrison, 1 on Pool Road, Tresco, 1 opposite the St. Agnes Post Office and 1 Popplestone Fields, Bryher.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in the cricket pitch elms, St. Martin’s.

Black Redstart – 1 at Woolpack Battery on the Garrison, 1 on Town Beach, 1 in the back gardens of Lower Strand, 1 Little Porth and 1 on St. Agnes.

Common Redstart – 1 Little Porth, 1 in trees opposite St. Agnes Post Office and 1 on Periglis Beach.

Whinchat – 1 in the Standing Stones Field.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 in a horse field on Pungies Lane.

Redpoll  – 1 on Gugh and St. Agnes.

Brambling – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field and 1by Fraggle Rock, Bryher.

Siskin –  20 Trenoweth, 5 Newford Duck Pond,1 flew over Little Porth and 9 on St. Agnes.

White-rumped Sandpiper – 1 was seen briefly on Periglis Beach before flying towards the campsite on St. Agnes.

Greenish Warbler – A “probable” was heard calling in Holy Vale but could not be located.

Hoopoe – 1 was still on Periglis, St. Agnes.

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 still on roofs in  Old Town.

Common Rosefinch – 1 still on Porth Hellick Beach.

Lapland Bunting – 1 still on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Hawfinch – 1 flew over Rowesfield Crossroads, Tresco.

Cattle Egret  – 2 with cows in a field on Pool Road, Tresco.

Spoonbill – 2 on Green Island, Samson.

Black-necked Grebe – 1 still of Gleaner Beach, Tresco.

Common Scoter – 1 near Nut Rock, Tresco.

Jack Snipe – 2 still on Lower Moors Pool and 2 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Knot  – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Green Sandpiper – 1 on the big Pool, St. Agnes.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Whimbrel – 8 at Pendrathen and 1 Bar Point.

Black-tailed Godwit  – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Gull – 3 in Lawrence’s Bay, St. Martin’s.

Osprey – 1 flew over Higher Town towards Lower Town, St. Martin’s and was later seen over Old Grimsby, Tresco.

Merlin – 1 on the “High Water Boat Trip”, 1 at Bar Point,  2 flew past the Big Pool, St. Agnes, 1 flew towards the Daymark on St. Martin’s and 1 over Old Grimsby, Tresco.

Kingfisher – 1 Hugh Town Harbour, 1 Porth Mellon and 1 Lawrence’s Bay, St. Martin’s.

Wryneck – 1 still on rocks below Peninnis Lighthouse, 1 at the Riding Stables, 1 in the fields at the bottom of Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes, 1 near the rubbish dump on Bryher and 1 on the coastal path from New Grimsby to Cromwell’s Castle, Tresco

Turtle Dove – 1 on Pool Road, Tresco.

Raven – 1 on St. Helen’s.

Skylark  – 3 on Peninnis, 3 on the airfield and 2 on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Firecrest – On St. Mary’s: 1 in the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison, 2 by the Garrison Campsite Entrance, 2 Salakee, 2 on the Golf Course, 4 Longstone/ Carreg Dhu, 4 Lower Moors, 1 Rocky Hill, 1 Newford Duck Pond, 1 Telegraph Road/Longstone junction and 2 Watermill Lane. On St. Martins: 1 north of the cricket pavilion. On St. Agnes: 1 just below the Parsonage. On St, Martin’s: 1 in the cricket pitch elms.

Mistle Thrush – 1 at Borough Farm, Tresco.

Common Redstart – An immature male at Lawrence’s Bay, St. Martin’s and a male in the Parsonage Garden, St.  Agnes.

Black Redstart – 1 in Silver Street, Hugh Town, probably the same on Porth Cressa Beach, 1 Thomas Porth, 1 on town Beach below Mincarlo Guesthouse and 1 on Periglis, St. Agnes.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 just below Star Castle Hotel in the pines, 1 in the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison,1 Peacehaven, Watermill, 1 in the Parsonage Garden, St.  Agnes. and  1 on Pool Road, Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Seven Stones, St. Martin’s.

Whinchat – 1 in the fields opposite Parting Carn Farm.

Crossbill – 1 at Bar Farm.

Siskin – 2 in Carreg Dhu, 3 Newford Duck Pond, 4 on St. Martin’s and 1 on St. Agnes.

Brambling – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field.

Redpoll – “several” dropping into Lower Moors and 1 on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

Reed Bunting  – 1 by the Big Pool, St. Agnes.

Monday (13/10)

Great White Egret – 1 seen at Gimble Porth flying towards Ruin Beach, Tresco and it or another flew south over Hell Bay hotel, Bryher.

Cattle Egret  – 2 with cows in a field north of Pool Road, Tresco.

Spoonbill – 2 on Green Island, Samson.

Wigeon – 2 on Porth Hellick Pool, 1 flew over the Standing Stones Field and 1 was off Middle Town Beach, St. Martin’s.

Black-necked Grebe – 1 still of South Beach, Tresco.

Lapwing – 1 flew east over Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Grey Plover  – 1 on Middle Town Beach, St. Martin’s.

Golden Plover – 2 on the golf course.

Jack Snipe – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool and 1 flushed from a footpath adjacent to Popplestone Fields, Bryher.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on Newford Island, Porthloo.

Knot – 1 on Middle Town Beach, St. Martin’s.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 8 on Stony Porth, Bryher.

Whimbrel – 1 Toll’s Porth, 2 Pendrathen, 1 on Porthloo Beach and 3 Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Great Skua – 1 was seen from the Scillonian III flying west past Peninnis.

Puffin – 2 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 1 on the return sailing.

Merlin – 1 Porth Hellick and 1 Pelistry.

Wryneck – 1 still in a garden near Stinky Porth, Bryher.

Kingfisher  – 1 flew through the Standing Stones Field and 1 St. Martin’s.

Ring Ouzel – 1 in field on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis, 1 on the beach at Pendrathen and it or another at Bar Point.

Fieldfare – 16 over the Garrison, 8 Telegraph, 2 Back Lane, Tresco and 2 Hell Bay Hotel, Bryher.

Firecrest – c 30 on St. Mary’s, 2 on St. Agnes and 2 on Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff  – 1 calling at Shooters’ Pool.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 2 Lower Moors, 1 still by Newford Duck Pond, 1 Pool Road, Tresco and 1 by St. Agnes Post Office.

Garden Warbler – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field.

Common Redstart – 1 in a field at the end of King Edward’s Road, Peninnis, 4 on Tresco and 1 at Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s.

Black Redstart  – 1 on Porth Cressa Beach, 1 at Thomas Porth, 1 Porthloo, 1 Toll’s Porth, 1 on Bergecooth Beach, St. Agnes, 1 on Castle Down, Tresco.

Spotted Flycatcher –  2 on the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison, 1 in a garden behind Thomas Porth,1 in the Garrison Campsite, 1 on the Garrison Coastal path. 1 in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes. And 1 at Middle Town, St. Martin’s.

Pied Flycatcher  – 1 near the Seven Stones Inn, St. Martin’s.

Whinchat  – 1 in a field at the end of King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 at Old Grimsby, Tresco and 1 in the “Snowman Field” below the lighthouse, St. Agnes.

Brambling – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field and 2 at pheasant feeders east from the road just south of Borough Farm .
