Mourning Dove – 1 showed briefly again mid-morning Troy Town Farm Fields, St. Agnes, but despite lots of people searching it could not be relocated.

American Pipit – 1 still on St. Agnes, between Barnaby Lane and St. Warna’s Cove.

Spotted Sandpiper – 1 was still at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.

Hoopoe – 1 was still on St. Agnes.

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 still on the roofs in Old Town.

Common Rosefinch – 1 still on Porth Hellick Beach.

Red-breasted Flycatcher  – 1 in the Parsonage Garden and then moved to Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes.

Great White Egret – 1 on the Great Pool. Tresco.

Little Egret –25 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 2 still on Tresco.

Spoonbill –  1 on Green Island, Samson.

Curlew Sandpiper – The juvenile was still on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes.

Great Northern Diver – A summer-plumage bird off Peninnis.

Golden Plover – 1 over the airfield.

Mediterranean Gull – 34 in Tresco Channel.

Marsh Harrier – 1 over Samson.

Kingfisher – 1 Old Town Bay, 1 at Little Porth

Wryneck  – 1 in a garden near Stinky Porth, Bryher.

Turtle Dove – 1 was in Troy Town Farm Fields, St. Agnes.

Firecrest – 9 on St. Mary’s, 5 St. Agnes, 3  on Tresco and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 on Peninnis and an eastern type on Gugh.

Yellow-browed Warbler  – 1 Appletree Glade, Tresco.

Black Redstart – 1 still in Porth Mellon Industrial Estate and 1on Porthloo Beach.

Common Redstart – 1 still on Old Town Beach and 1 at the polytunnels east of St. Agnes Post Office.

Spotted Flycatcher – 3 opposite St. Agnes Post Office , 2 on Back Lane, Tresco and 1 Popplestone Fields, Bryher.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 on Pelistry Beach,  1 on Bryher and 1 St. Martin’s.

Whinchat – 2 Back Lane, Tresco.

Skylark – 1 Back Lane, Tresco.

Brambling  – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field.

Siskin – 1 in Lower Moors

Thursday (09/10)

Mourning Dove – The elusive bird of the last 2 days finally gave itself up and showed well to everyone at Threshing Mill on St. Agnes.

American Pipit – 1 still on St. Agnes, between Barnaby Lane and St. Warna’s Cove.

Spotted Sandpiper – 1 was still at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.

Black-necked Grebe – 1 off South Beach, Tresco.

Great White Egret – 1 on south Beach. Tresco and it or another on Teän.

Cattle Egret – 2 with cattle northeast of the Great Pool, Tresco.

European Storm-petrel –18 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Great Shearwater – 1 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater –15 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Manx Shearwater –4 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Grey Phalarope – 1 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Little Gull – 1 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Caspian Gull – a first-winter bird in the roost at Periglis, St. Agnes.

Puffin –10 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Spoonbill – 1 Green Island, Samson.

Wigeon – 1 of Gugh Bar.

Little Grebe – 2 on Tresco.

Firecrest – 1 in the Standing Stones Field, 3 ringed at Porth Hellick ringing Station, 1 on the Garrison, 1 Carreg Dhu Gardens, 5 Tresco and 1 at the St. Agnes end of Gugh Bar.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 in the Standing Stones Field.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 on St. Agnes.

Common Redstart –1 opposite St. Agnes Post Office.

Black Redstart – 4 on St. Agnes and 1 on Porthloo.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 on the Garrison and 4 opposite St. Agnes Post Office.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in Watermill Cove.

Skylark  – 4 on Peninnis and 5 flying over the Roads.

Grey Wagtail – 7 on St. Mary’s, 2 on Tresco and 1 on St. Agnes.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 St. Agnes.

Siskin – 5 on the Garrison, 2 Old Town, 4 on St. Agnes and 1 on Tresco.

Brambling  – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field.

Crossbill – 1 flew over Longstone and 1 over St. Agnes.

Short- beaked Common Dolphin – 50 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Atlantic Bluefin Tuna –1 on a daytime pelagic trip 11 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Arctic Warbler – A warbler seen in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes was identified from photographs as this Species.

Greenish Warbler – 1 seen briefly on Barnaby Lane.

Hoopoe – 1 was still on St. Agnes.

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 left its roost on the Garrison and the flew towards Hugh Town and on to Old Town (photo).

Common Rosefinch – 1 still on Porth Hellick Beach.

Lapland Bunting – 1 still on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

European Storm-petrel – 1 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater – 2 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Manx Shearwater – 2seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Sabine’s Gull – 1 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Common Gull – 1 at Bar Point, 1 Porthloo and 1 on Middle Town Beach, St. Martin’s.

Mediterranean Gull – 28 at Bar Point and 26 between St. Masry’s & St. Agnes,

Yellow-legged Gull – 1on the sea off the western side of Peninnis.

Great Skua – 1 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Puffin – 1 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Black-necked Grebe  – 1 still in Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Little Grebe – 2 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Great White Egret – 1 on Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 2 with Cows near Pentle House, Tresco.

Little Egret – 33 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Spoonbill – 2 on Green Island, Samson.

Wigeon  – 1 on Abbey Pool.

Pochard– 9 on Tresco.

Jack Snipe – 3 on Lower Moors Pool (photo) and 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Lapwing  – 1 on Tresco flew to St. Mary’s, where it was seen over Carn Friars. Carn Vean/ Pelistry area.

Grey Plover – 1 on Middle Town Beach, St. Martin’s.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on seaweed below the cliffs on west side of Peninnis.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on Abbey Pool.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 8 on Green Island, Samson.

Whimbrel – 1 on rocks at the end of Peninnis

Merlin – 1 flew over Little Porth.

Kingfisher – 1 Porth Cressa, 1 Old Town Bay and 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Wryneck – 1 in a hedge near the Hell Bay Hotel, Bryher and 1 on rocks behind Peninnis Lighthouse.

Turtle Dove – 1 still on St. Agnes.

Raven – 1 flew east over Pool Road.

Skylark – 18 on St. Mary’s, 1 on Tresco and 2 over the Plains, St. Martin’s.

Firecrest – On St. Mary’s, 3 were trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick, 2 Carreg Dhu Gardens, 2 Rocky Hill, 1 at the Steval, Garrison, 1 on Lower Broom Platform, Garrison, 2 By Normandy Swimming Pool,  2 on the Church side of Old Town Bay,1 Newford Duck Pond, 1 Watermill and 2 on the road near the top of Salakee Lane,  1 Riding Stables, 4 on Tresco,  3 on Bryher and 5 on St. Martins

Yellow-browed Warbler  –  2 Lower Moors, 1 at Newford Duck Pond, 1 Holy Vale, 1 St. Agnes and 1 at Appletree Glade, Bryher

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 in the Standing Stones Field, 1 Shooters’ Pool and 1 at Porth Wreck.

Common Whitethroat – 1 on Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 by the Shooting Club on the Garrison and at Seven Stones, St. Martin’s.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in the cricket pitch elms. St. Martin’s.

Black Redstart – 1 on rocks behind Peninnis Lighthouse and 1 on roofs in Porth Mellon Industrial Estate.

Whinchat – 1 Pelistry and 1 on Back Lane, Tresco.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 Pelistry.

Blue-headed Wagtail – 1 in a horse field at Pelistry.

Grey Wagtail – 1 Porth Cressa, 1 Hugh Town, 1 Porthloo, 1 on Tresco and 1 on St. Agnes.

Brambling – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field.

Siskin – 40+ at Trenoweth and 20+ Bryher.
