Wigeon – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Golden Plover – 1 flew over Peninnis.

Mediterranean Gull – 13 in Porth Cressa.

irecrest – 1 in the Dump Clump.

House Martin – 1 over Porth Hellick Pool and 1 over the chicken field at Tremelethen.

Swallow – 1 over Porth Hellick Pool.

Yellow-browed Warbler 1 in Holy Vale, 1 on the top track to Longstone. above Holy Vale, 1 south of the road at Higher Moors and 1 north of the road at Higher Moors.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 in Holy Vale and 1 north of the road at Higher Moors.

Redwing – 35 in the chicken field at Tremelethen.

Fieldfare – 13 in the chicken field at Tremelethen.

Black Redstart – 2 on Peninnis.

Grey Wagtail – 1 at Salakee Farm and 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Lesser Redpoll – 1 in Holy Vale.

Thursday (02/11)

GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – 1 was still in the fields at the bottom of Rocky Hill.

Spoonbill – The bird that has been around Porth Hellick Beach and Pool for the last few weeks was sadly found dead today.

Great Northern Diver – 3 flew through the Roads.

Wigeon – A drake was on Porth Hellick Pool.

Woodcock – 1 flushed from the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors.

Whimbrel – 1 on rocks in Porth Cressa.

Merlin – 1 flew over Hugh Town.

Long-eared Owl – 1 flew from the Dump Clump towards Lower Moors.

Swallow – 4 over Rosehill.

House Martin – 1 at Tremelethen.

Catti’s Warbler – 1 singing by the Stephen Sussex Hide, Porth Hellick.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on the Porth Hellick Loop.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 in the Dump Clump

Wheatear – 1 at Porthloo.

Black Redstart – 2 at the east end of Porth Cressa and 1 at Carn Leh, Old Town Bay.

Grey Wagtail – 1 on Porthloo Lane near Rosehill.

Friday (03/11)

GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – 1 was still in the fields at the bottom of Rocky Hill.

GREEN DARNER – 2 more of this American dragonfly (a male & a female) were seen at the end of the Porth Hellick path by the beach.

Dusky Warbler – 1 northeast of Veronica Farm, Bryher in the last field by the track.

Little Bunting – 1 on the path around the Garrison walls in the Upper Broome/ Upper Benham Battery.

Waxwing – 1 flew south over Bryher Church and 1 was seen in a garden at the junction of Church Road and King Edward’s Road.

Glossy Ibis – 1 in the chicken field at Tremelethen and was later seen over the Standing Stones Field & dropped in the direction of the Airport.

Scaup – A female in Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Wigeon – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Tufted Duck – A female on the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Pochard– 2 on the Great Pool and 1 on the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 1 in Porth Cressa Bay and 1 off Bryher.

Jack Snipe – 1 flew from the Porth Hellick Path near the beach end.

Bar-tailed godwit – 1 Bryher.

Common Saner – 1 at New Grimsby, Tresco.

Merlin –1 on Bryher.

Short-eared Owl – 1 by Hell Bay, Bryher.

Long-eared Owl – 1 near the dump on Bryher.

Swallow – Still 4 at Rosehill and 1 on Bryher.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 in the garden of Longstone Cottage,1 at Higher Moors, 1 on the path between the road and the Porth Hellick Loop Trail and 1 on the Porth Hellick Loop Trail

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 at the south end o – f Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Redwing – 12 on Bryher.

Fieldfare – 17 on Bryher.

Grey Wagtail – 1 flew over Hugh Town.

Redpoll – 1 flew over Carn Gwavel calling lice a Common Redpoll and 1 flew over Porth Hellick.

Reed Bunting – 1 at Normandy Allotments.

Saturday (04/11)

GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – 1 was still in the fields at the bottom of Rocky Hill.

Waxwing – 1 was feeding in apple trees in the Dump Allotments (photo).

Brent Goose – 1 in Hugh town Harbour which later moved to Porth Mellon (photo).

Little Egret – At Pendrathen/ Bar Point.

Woodcock – 1 in the garden at Longstone Cottage.

Merlin – A female at Mount Todden and it or another opposite Sunnyside Farmhouse and Porthloo Duck Pond.

Raven – 1 at McFarland’s Down.

Firecrest – 2 in Carreg Dhu Gardens, 1 in the garden at Longstone Cottage, and 1 on Garrison Lane.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 north of the road at Higher Moors, 1 still in the garden at Longstone Cottage and 1 at Jac-a-Ba.

Redwing – Report of the fields, hedges and wires at Normandy “heaving with birds”.

Fieldfare – Report of the fields, hedges and wires at Normandy “heaving with birds”.

Black Redstart – 1 at Normandy Corner.

Little Bunting – 1 in a field on Sandy Lane.American Painted Lady – Yet another individual was in the same field as the Little Bunting.

Waxwing – Yesterday’s bird was still in the Moorwell Allotments and was joined by a second bird. From timings it would seem that a third bird flew over Old Town Churchyard.

Great Shearwater – 1 flew east past Peninnis.

Glossy Ibis– 1 flew over Lower Moors and was later seen heading towards its favourite field between Parting Carn and Carreg Dhu.

Spoonbill – 2 on Samson.

Jack Snipe – 1 at Porth Hellick.

Woodcock – 1 at Porth Hellick.

Bar-tailed godwit – 3 at Pendrathen.

Little Egret – 3 at Pendrathen and 1 in Old Town Bay.

Long-eared Owl – 1 in the Dump Clump.

Merlin – 1 in Holy Vale.

Short-eared Owl – 1 at Porth Hellick Down flew towards Deep Point and 1 flew south from Shooters’ Pool.

House Martin – 1 Parting Carn/Tremelethen and 1 at Porth Hellick.

Swallow – 2 at Porth Hellick and 3 at Pump Road.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 still in the garden at Longstone Cottage, 1 in the Dump Clump,1 at Porth Hellick and 1 at the top of Kittydown.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 in the Dump Clump and 1 by the pumping station at Higher Moors.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 by the playpark on the Garrison, 1 in Lower Moors and 1 in the gardens at Pilot’s Retreat.

Redwing – 6 on Peninnis Farm and 5 on the school playing field.

Fieldfare – 2 on the school playing field.

Black Redstart – 1 at Pelistry and 1 at Carn Leh.

Whinchat – 1 in the chicken field a Tremelethen
