At sea – The second short-range pelagic of the year proved to be very good. We went to Poll Bank 3 miles south west of Bishop Rock and saw Britain’s earliest ever Wilson’s Storm-petrel beating the previous earliest record (also off Scilly) by a day. Also seen on the trip were 30+ European Storm-petrels, 12 Arctic Terns, an Arctic Skua and 2 second –summer Long-tailed Skuas. On the non-bird front an early Sunfishwas seen.
