Ring Ouzel, Garrison (Kris Web)
St. Mary’s – There was a fall of migrants with about 200 Chiffchaffs , 70 Wheatears, 15 Black Redstarts on the island. In the fields below the golf course there was as stunning male Common Redstart and a female Ring Ouzel. One of the drake Pintails was still on Porth Hellick Pool and the 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still in a field on Salakee Farm.
St. Agnes – The fall of migrants was also obvious here with about 50 Chiffchaffs , 20+ Wheatears and 15+ Black Redstarts. Sadly the Hoopoe seen yesterday was found dead on Castella Down.
