St. Mary’s – There was evidence of cold weather movement with 2 Golden Plovers & a Skylark on the Airfield, 20 Lapwings over Porth Hellick, Fieldfares ( 14 on the Golf course& 14 Old Town) and Redwings (8 Lower Moors, 8 Pelistry & 4 Porthloo lane). The Black Redstart was still on Porthloo Beach, where a male Merlin flew over and there was a first-winter Common Gull. The female Great Spotted Woodpecker was still in Lower Moors as was a Siberian Chiffchaff. 2 Common Teal & a Grey Wagtail were at Porth Hellick Pool, an adult Common Gull was on Porth Mellon and a Whimbrel & the 4 Dark-bellied Brent Geese were at Pendrathen. The Coal Tit at Jac-a-ba was joined by 4 Siskins.
