St Mary’s – After last years influx the first Dusky Warbler of the year was found on Lower Moors this afternoon. Black Redstarts were seen on Little Porth and on Church Road. Waxwings were around town again today with one near the Power station in the morning and at least two in Sally Port later in the day.

Roads – An Iceland Gull was found on the south shore of Tresco from a boat trip today. Two Purple Sandpipers were on Green Island nr Samson and six Bar-tailed Godwits were on Tean. Between the islands at least ten Great Northern Diver and three Razorbills were seen. Closer to St Mary’s the female Eider and a flock of 34 Common Scoter were noted.
