St. Mary’s – Again there was a scattering of Pied Flycatchers around the island, ones and twos were reported from several locations. Single Green Sandpipers were reported from, Old Town, Porth Hellick, Hugh Town Quay and Lower Moors, a Greenshank was also at the latter site. 3 Crossbills flew over Carreg Dhu Gardens.

Tresco – A Wood Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, a Common Sandpiper, 5 Redshanks, 14 Greenshanks and a Pied Flycatcher.

At sea – A quiet evening pelagic trip produced just 2 Sooty Shearwaters and 60+ European Storm-petrels. The fishermen on board were happier than the birders, as 5 Blue Sharks were caught, tagged and released.
