Upland Sandpiper – 1 still at Borough Farm, St. Mary’s
American Golden Plover – 1 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s
Least Sandpiper – 1 on Tresco
Lesser Yellowlegs – 1 on St. Mary’s and 1 on the Great Pool Tresco
Northern Waterthrush – not seen until the afternoon and then showed several times until dusk on Lower Moors pool. It has now been present for an amazing 28 days!
Wilson’s Snipe – 1 still on St. Mary’s, today at Lower Moors
Sooty Shearwater – 1 on the Scillonian crossing
Balearic Shearwater – 2 on the Scillonian crossing
European Storm-petrel – 5 on the Scillonian crossing
Spoonbill – 1 on Green Island.
Marsh Harrier – 1 over Annet and Gugh
Spotted Crake – 1 showed very well on Abbey Pool, Tresco
Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 on the Big Pool, St. Agnes
Great Skua – 4 from St. Martin’s and 1 past Horse Point, St. Agnes
Arctic Skua – 1 Porthloo
Turtle Dove – 2 on the Garrison
Wryneck – 5 on St. Mary’s and 2 on St. Agnes
Short-eared Owl – 1 on Peninnis and 1 on St. Agnes
Short-toed Lark -1 on the airfield
Red-throated Pipit – 1 on the golf course and 1 on St. Martin’s
Richard’s Pipit – 1 at Carn Friars
Bluethroat – 1 still at Carn Friars and 1 in Lower Moors
Black Redstart – 10 on St. Mary’s, 5 on Tresco, 5 on St. Agnes and 2 on Bryher
Ring Ouzel – A mini influx with 24 reported on the islands
Fieldfare- The first of the autumn. with a small arrival – 10 on Tresco, 5 on the golf Course and 1 on St. Agnes
Redwing – 1 Hugh Town, 6 Tresco and 3 on St. Martin’s
Mistle Thrush – 1 on St. Agnes and 1 on St. Martin’s
Subalpine Warbler – 1 in the Dead Pine walk on the Garrison
Yellow-browed Warbler – 4 on St. Mary’s , 2 on St. Agnes, 2 on St. Martin’s, 2 on Bryher and 2 on Tresco.
Firecrest – 2 Porth Hellick , 3 Carreg Dhu Garden, 1 on the Garrison and 3 on St. Agnes
Red-breasted Flycatcher – 3 on St. Agnes
Red-backed Shrike – 1 still on Tresco
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 still at Sallyport and 1 near the vinery on St. Martin’s
Brambling – 1 at Longstone, 1 on Tresco and 1 on St. Agnes
Common Rosefinch – 1 on Bryher
Lapland Bunting – 1 on the Gugh, 1 on St. Agnes, 1 Bryher and 4 on St. Martin’s
Snow Bunting – 1 on St. Martin’s
