St. Mary’s – The Bee-eater was still near Borough Farm and Wryneck was at Maypole. The Buff-breasted Sandpiper was still on the airfield and the Woodchat Shrike was still near the flower sheds on the airport approach road. Yet another new Woodchat Shrike, this time a juvenile, was found near Holly Cottage on the Garrison, also on the Garrison were a Yellow Wagtail, a Pied and 4 Spotted Flycatchers. A Curlew Sandpiper was on Porthloo Beach. Sea-watching off Giants’ Castle produced 3 Cory’s Shearwaters & 20+ European Storm-petrels and off Deep Point 5 Sooty Shearwaters, 3 Mediterranean Gulls & 2 European Storm-petrels.
