The only birds reported on Wednesday were 20 European Storm-petrels on a shark fishing trip.

Thursday’s birds were:

St. Agnes – The Bee-eater flew over the old observatory.

Tresco – The 3 unseasonal Wigeon were still on the Great Pool along with a Sand Martin. 2 Common Swifts were over the island.

At sea – An evening pelagic trip was fairly quiet, producing only 12 European Storm-petrels, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, 2 Puffins and a Great Skua, 2 Blue Sharks were caught, tagged & released and off Watermill Cove the first Basking Shark of the year was seen.
