St. Mary’s – A Hoopoe was seen flying over Salakee Down and later heard calling right outside the Stephen Sussex hide at Porth Hellick before being located on the Ground near Camel Rock. A Wood Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper and a drake Tufted Duck were at Porth Hellick Pool and a Short-eared Owl was flushed from Porth Hellick Loop. A Cuckoo was at Porth Minnick, a Ring Ouzel was at Giant’s Castle and a Great Northern Diver was offshore there. A Ring Ouzel & a Blue -headed Wagtail were at Carn Friars and a female Pied flycatcher was on the Garrison. There were still 4 Woodchat Shrikes on the island – a Male on Salakee Down, a male at Mount Todden Farm, a male in the Carn Friars/Porth Hellick down area and a female on the Golf Course.

St. Martins – A Tawny Pipit was in the sheep fields above Middle Town and 2 probable Tawny Pipits flew from the dunes near Lower Town to The Plains.
