St. Mary’s – 2 Bee-eaters which seemed to be a pair were roaming around the island, unfortunately at dusk 1 was taken by a Sparrowhawk at Salakee. The Purple Heron was still at Lower Moors and the Hoopoe was still on the Garrison. A female Common Teal with at least 1 duckling was at Porth Hellick, the first evidence of breeding for many years. At least 4 Woodchat Shrikes were still present, a male at Deep Point 1+ males on Salakee Down, a male (possibly a new bird) and a female on the Golf Course.

Tresco – A Turtle Dove.
