St. Mary’s – The Hoopoe was still near Holly Cottage on the Garrison and the Nightingale was seen again in the “Dead Pine” walk. a Wood Warbler was at Carn Friars, the drake Tufted Duck was still on Porth Hellick Pool, 2 Ring Ouzels were on Porth Hellick Down and a female Marsh Harrier flew over Lower Moors. The male Woodchat Shrike was still in the Salakee Down area and another male was found in the same area in the evening. With this new bird at least 5 different Woodchats have been on the islands in the last week, an amazing number!
