There was a noticeable influx of Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs with large numbers being reported from around St. Mary’s, accompanying these were smaller numbers of Whitethroats, Garden Warblers and Whinchat.

St. Mary’s – The Spotted Sandpiper was still at Porth Hellick, where a Grasshopper Warbler was caught and ringed. Another Grasshopper Warbler was at higher Moors and 4 Lapland Buntings flew over Peninnis. Swifts flew over Green Farm, Holy Vale & Giant’s Castle and a Great Northern Diver was on the sea off Watermill Cove. A Buff-breasted Sandpiper, a Golden Plover and 3 Ring Ouzels were on the airfield. A Great Spotted Woodpecker was heard in Holy Vale.

St. Agnes – A Firecrest, 3 Spotted Flycatchers and 10 Lapland Buntings.

Bryher – 2 Spotted Flycatchers and 20+ Lapland Buntings.

Samson – A Spoonbill and a Common Scoter.
