St. Mary’s – A Common Swift over Hugh Town and a Common Sandpiper on Rat Island, which is by the quay. A Sooty Shearwater flew past Morning Point.

Annet – A female Marsh Harrier.

At sea – A short-range pelagic trip, 6 miles south of St. Mary’s, produced 5 Sooty and 20 Manx Shearwaters. 30+ European Storm-petrels, a Wilson’s Storm-petrel, a Pomarine Skua, a Great Skua, an Arctic Tern and a adult female Red-necked Phalarope. Also seen were a Sunfish and a Blue Shark, which was caught and released.
