St. Mary’s – The 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool and a Common Crossbill was at Longstone. Tresco – A Slavonian Grebe was off New Grimsby.

St. Mary’s – The Red-throated Diver was still in the harbour and a late Wheatear was on the Garrison. 6 Redwings, a Fieldfare & a Skylark were on Peninnis and 4 Common Snipe & a Greenshank were in Lower Moors. Read more…

St. Mary’s – A Red-throated Diver was in the Harbour. St. Martin’s – A Red-breasted Flycatcher was at Middle Town, a Woodlark was at Higher Town and 8 Waxwings were by the diving centre.
American Buff-bellied Pipit – 1 still on Bryher.
Olive backed Pipit – 1 still on Bryher
Penduline Tit – 1 still at the southeast end of the Great Pool.
Little Bunting – 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick. (more…)

Penduline Tit – A bird showed on and off at the southeast end of the Great Pool, Tresco. The was the first occurrence since 2007, which was only seen by a few. The previous record during “Scilly Season” was October 1993.
Radde’s Warbler – 1 on St. Agnes opposite the Post Office and 1 in the Plantation on Gugh.
Ring-necked Duck – The first-winter male and 2 females were still on Porth Hellick Pool. (more…)
