SORA RAIL – After not being seen since Monday it re-appeared on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Short-toed Lark – 1 still on St. Agnes.
Richard’s Pipit – At least 1, possibly 2 moving around St. Mary’s, 1 of which was then seen over Gugh.
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 at various locations on St. Mary’s and it or another briefly visited Gugh. (more…)
The highlights of Wednesday’s log were:
PALLAS’S GRASSHOPPER WARBLER – 1 was found early in the afternoon on Gugh and seen by a few lucky birders before it disappeared. This is the first record for Scilly and takes the Scilly list to 439.
Purple Heron – After not being seen for a couple of days, it was seen at Lower Moors late evening.
Short-toed Lark – 1 still on St. Agnes.
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 on the Garrison.
Spotted Crake – 1 at Porth Hellick. (more…)
Red-throated Pipit – 1 at Carn Friars.
Richard’s Pipit – 1 on Halangy Down before flying towards Telegraph.
Short-toed Lark – 1 still on St. Agnes.
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 around the hospital on St. Mary’s. (more…)
GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – Still in Old Town Churchyard but still very elusive .
SORA RAIL – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Little Bunting – 1 flew from Porth Hellick down towards the beach.
Short-toed Lark – 1 still on St. Agnes.

GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – It ranged from Old Town Churchyard and up the hill towards the Health Centre. It showed much better than yesterday and many birders connected with it, but it was still a case of being in the right place at the right time.
SORA RAIL – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Purple Heron – 1 flew over Peninnis towards Lower Moors at 09:30 and was not seen subsequently.
Short-toed Lark – 1 still on St. Agnes.
