Sunday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool and the Great Northern Diver was still at Porthloo.

Tresco – An Iceland Gull flew over Abbey Pool.

St. Agnes – 4 Black Redstarts.

Gugh – 5 Purple Sandpipers flew past east.

Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Night Heron flew over Hugh Town towards Porthloo where it appeared to land , but was not relocated.

The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool and the Great Northern Diver was still at Porthloo. Single Black Redstarts were on Peninnis & Porthloo Beach, 2 Wheatears were at Giants’ Castle with another on Peninnis and a Firecrest was on Porthloo Lane. Looking across the channel from St Mary’s; 2 Slavonian Grebes were off Innisidgen, a female Common Scoter was off Carn Near, Tresco and the first Sandwich Tern was off Samson.
