Tuesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Hoopoe was seen at Lunnon Farm and on Porth Hellick Down and the 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still at Porth Hellick Pool. The first Wheatear of the year was at Porth Hellick and 3 House Martins were at Porth Minnick.

Tresco – The first Swallow of the year was over the Great Pool.

Wednesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – There was a small influx of Black Redstarts with 4 at Bant’s Carn, 3 on Porthloo Beach, 1 at Carn Morval and 1 at Porth Mellon. A Mediterranean Gull was off Hugh Town Quay, 3 House Martins were over Porthloo Duck Pond and the 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still at Porth Hellick Pool.

Tresco – 3 Short-eared Owls, an Iceland Gull, 5 House Martins, 2 Sand Martins and a Swallow.
