Monday 8th September 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – 6 Greenshanks, 3 Dunlins, a Water Rail & a Kingfisher were at Porth Hellick and a Common Snipe, 2 Kingfishers and a Wryneck were in Lower Moors. A Black-tailed Godwit was on Porthcressa Beach. Bryher – A Curlew Sandpiper, a Wryneck, a Yellow Wagtail and 40+ Wheatears. Read more…

Tuesday 2nd September 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

Bryher – A Blyth’s Reed Warbler was near the tennis courts. Tresco – 4 Greenshanks, 5 Redshanks, 2 Common Sandpipers and 3 Bar-tailed Godwits. St. Agnes – 3 Common Swifts and a Sand Martin. Pelagic trip – A Sooty Shearwater, a Great Skua and 15 Common Dolphins.
