St. Mary’s – The first Kingfisher of the year was in Old Town Bay and a Slavonian Grebe & 4 Dark-bellied Brent Geese were off Bar Point.

St. Mary’s – There were now 2 Black Redstarts on Porthloo Beach, a Coal Tit was on Porth Hellick Loop and the Long-eared Owl was hunting over fields by Higher Moors at 07:30. St. Martin’s – The Long-tailed Duck was off Lower Town
St. Mary’s – The 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool, the pair of Stonechats & the juvenile male Black Redstart were still on Porthloo Beach. Samson – 3 Spoonbills. St. Mary’s – The 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool and a Black Redstart was on Porthloo Beach. St. Martin’s – 4 Dark-bellied Brent Geese were off-shore near Lower Town.
St. Mary’s – An adult Iceland Gull flew over the municipal dump mid-morning. The 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool and a Long-eared Owl again flew over Shooters’ Pool, Lower Moors at Dusk.
St. Mary’s – The Dusky Warbler and a Siberian Chiffchaff were in Lower Moors, where the 2 Long-eared Owls flew over Shooter’s Pool at dusk. The 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool. Also 2 Whimbrel at Bar Point and the 2 male Sparrowhawks are still around Read more…
