Last week’s presumed Western Orphean Warbler has been re-identified from photographs as an Eastern Orphean Warbler, the first record for Britain!

Penduline Tit  – 1was heard in Lower Moors.

Dusky Warbler – 2, possibly 3, in Lower Moors, 2 near Shooters’ Pool and 1  was seen by the pumping station at the Trench Lane end early evening

Little Bunting – 1 still on St. Agnes.

Hawfinch – 1 Telegraph and 1 Green Lane.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 6 on St. Mary’s and 1 on Bryher.

Water Pipit – 1 again on Porth Hellick Beach.

Firecrest – 14 on St. Mary’s and 4 on St. Agnes.

Balearic Shearwater – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

European Storm-petrel – 2 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Leach’s Storm-petrel – 4 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Snow Bunting – 2 Deep Point.

Whooper Swan – 4 on Bryher.

Pink-footed Goose – 6 on Tresco.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose – 2 Porthloo.

Whimbrel – 2 Porth Hellick, 1 Porthloo and 1 Giant’s Castle.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 3 on Bryher.

Great Skua – 2 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Mediterranean Gull – 1 Porthcressa, 2 Porthloo and 2 Morning Point.

Yellow-legged Gull – 1 Porthloo and 1 morning point.

Merlin –  1 Porthloo and 1 Porth Hellick Down.

Hooded Crow – 1 Bryher.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 Higher Moors.

Common Whitethroat – 1 Higher Moors.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 at Salakee.

Black Redstart – 13 on St. Mary’s and 4 on St. Agnes.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 St. Agnes.

Siskin – 80+ on St. Mary’s.

Reed Bunting – 1 Porth Hellick.
