Thursday’s birds were:

St Mary’s – a fist-summer male Red-footed Falcon flew over the airfield and was relocated in the Salakee Downs/Giant’s Castle area where it spent the rest of the day. At times it was in the air with a Kestrel and a Hobby!

St Agnes – A Whimbrel, 4 Turtle Doves, a White Wagtail and a Common Whitethroat

Tresco – 31 Dunlin and a White Wagtail

Inter-island Waters – 180 Manx Shearwaters were off Annet and a Mediterranean Gull was in The Roads

Friday’s birds were:

St Mary’s – The first summer male Red-footed Falcon was seen over Salakee Down at 0750hrs and then over Porth Hellick Down at 0818hrs but was not seen again after these times. A Marsh Harrier was seen early evening at Porth Hellick

St Martin’s – 2 Whimbrels and a Marsh Harrier, which was probably the bird seen later on St Mary’s
