Wednesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – the Long-tailed Duck was still in Porthcressa.

Tresco – the Black Duck was seen again on Abbey Pool and the Green-winged Teal was on Great Pool.

Thursday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – a female Garganey was found at Porth Hellick Pool. At least one Night Heron was seen flying over Carn Gwaval mid-afternoon and also one at Watermill. 3 were then seen at Lower Moors at dusk.

Samson – the Spoonbill was seen again.

Friday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – the female Garganey was still at Porth Hellick Pool. The Long-tailed Duck was off the quay in Hugh Town. Single Night Herons were seen during the day at Porth Hellick and Lower Moors. 2 adults and 1 1st/2nd year emerged from the reeds at Porth Hellick at dusk and 1 flew from Lower Moors towards Old Town Bay. A Swallow was at Lower Moors and House Martin and Sand Martin at Porth Hellick.

St. Agnes – a Green Sandpiper was on Little Pool and a Swallow was seen. A Night Heron was reported in the evening.

Tresco – the Black Duck was seen again on Abbey Pool.

Saturday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – the female Garganey was still at Porth Hellick Pool and the Long-tailed Duck was in Town Bay and briefly in Porth Mellon bay. Night Herons were again seen occasionally during the day. At dusk 3 birds were seen at Porth Hellick and 2 flew from Lower Moors over Porth Mellon towards Porthloo. 1 was seen flying back over Harry’s Walls.

Tresco – 2 Green-winged Teals (both drakes) were seen on Great Pool
