Another quiet day with the only birds of note being the two Spoonbills seen near Samson in the morning; one of which was later on St Martin’s and two Rooks on the Golf Course on St Mary’s.
St Mary’s – Little Egrets were seen at Porth Hellick and Porth Loo and the Greenshank was again on the Lower Moors Pool. A few Swallows and Wheatears were seen but there was little other migration of note other than Read more…
St Mary’s – On a very windy day four Whimbrel were seen on Peninnis and the Spoonbill was reported on rocks near Samson from St Mary’s.
St Agnes – Two Purple Sandpiper were in Porth Killier this morning with a small flock of Turnstones. aAlso on the island was a male White Wagtail and a female Merlin on what was a rather windy, showery day.
