St Mary’s – A day of absolutely foul weather with heavy rain and strong winds all day. Only birds of note were a Tree Pipit in Lower Moors and a Swift going backwards over Hugh Town.
All islands A phenomenal days birding with many hundreds of migrants on the islands. Large numbers of Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Wheatear being particularly notable. Grasshopper Warbler reached record peaks with twenty four being seen and heard on Bryher alone. Read more…
