St. Mary’s – The only reports were the Blue-winged Teal still in Lower Moors, seen from the ISBG hide, a first-winter drake Eider in Porth Mellon and a Yellow-browed Warbler between Porthloo and Juliet’s Garden.

Tuesday 24th January 2012 IoS Bird Reports

St. Mary’s – In Lower Moors the Blue-winged Teal was still on Shooter’s Pool and nearby there was a Yellow-browed Warbler. 3 Iceland Gulls (2 second-winters and a juvenile) were in the Porthloo/Porth Mellon Dump area and the first winter drake Common Eider was still in Porth Mellon. Monday 23rd January 2012 IoS Bird Reports

St. Mary’s – A Jack Snipe was in Lower Moors and an Iceland Gull was on Newford Island, Porthloo. Tresco – 9 Dark-bellied Brent Geese were in Pentle Bay. Samson – 3 Spoonbills and 6 Purple Sandpipers were east of Samson on Green Island.

St. Mary’s – The Blue-winged Teal was still on Shooters’ Pool, Lower Moors and a second-winter Iceland Gull was on Newford Island, Porthloo. 2 Black Redstarts were at Little Porth and another was on Old Town Beach. Great Spotted Woodpecker was in Holy Vale. Samson – 3 Spoonbills.
