St. Mary’s – A Yellow Wagtail & a Redwing on the Garrison, a Cuckoo on Porth Hellick Down and 3 drake Tufted Duck on Porth Hellick Pool. Gugh – A Short-toed Lark, a Redwing, a Cuckoo and 7 Whimbrel. Tresco – A Hoopoe and 4 Common Tern.

A much quieter day on the islands today. St Mary’s – Yellow Wagtail on Peninnis. St Agnes –  Whimbrel and Yellow Wagtail on island today. Gugh –Short-toed Lark still on sandbar today. St. Mary’s – Water Rail at Porth Hellick and Peregrine on Taylor’s Island. St. Agnes – Female Woodchat Shrike at Covean. Bryher – 2 Ring Ouzel and a Whinchat.

Saturday 24th April 2010 IoS Bird Reports

St. Mary’s – A Great Northern diver was in the Roads, a Ring Ouzel was at Carn Friars and a Wryneck was at Longstone briefly. St. Martin’s – Whitethroat, Whimbrel and Ring Ouzel. St. Agnes – 12 Whimbrel, a Whitethroat and a Woodchat Shrike.
