Glossy Ibis – 1 still on Tresco in fields at south end of Pool Road, Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 1 on Tresco with cattle at Middle Down then moving to Simpson’s Field.

Spoonbill – 3 on Samson.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 2 Lower Moors.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 6 Lower Moors and 2 Porth Hellick.

Whooper Swan – 6 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pink-footed Goose – 5 in the fields behind St.Nicholas’s Church, Tresco.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose – 8 in Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Shelduck – 3 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Shoveler – A drake on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pochard – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 1 in Porth Cressa Bay.

Jack Snipe – 1 Porth Hellick. Porth Hellick.

Woodcock – 4 Lower Moors.

Whimbrel – 1 Porth Hellick Bay.

Willow Warbler – A late bird in Lower Moors,

Black Redstart – 1 at the airport, 1 Little Porth and 1 Porthloo.

Swallow – A small late arrival of 6 to 10 birds.

Lesser Redpoll – 1 Lower Moors.

Siskin – 2 Holy Vale.

Sunday (14/11)

Spotted Sandpiper – What was thought to be the bird last seen at Watermill cove on November 4th, was seen again on Porthloo Beach (photo).

Cattle Egret – 1 still south of Borough Farm, Tresco.

Yellow-browed Warbler – Still 2 in Lower Moors.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 3 Porth Hellick and 4 in Lower Moors.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose – 4 were off South Beach, Tresco.

Eider – The drake was off South Beach, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 1 in Porth Mellon, 1 in Porthloo, 1 in Hugh Town Harbour and 2 in Porth Cressa

Black Redstart – 2 on Porthloo Beach and 1 Old Town Bay

Swallow – Still 6 to 10 birds around St.Mary’s.

Redwing – 600 flew over Porth Hellick, 100+ in the Parting Carn area and 30 At Watermill.

Fieldfare – 5 with the Redwings at Parting Carn and 3 at Watermill.

Monday (15/11) 

There was a big movement of winter thrushes with 100s of Redwings 50-100 Fieldfares, and lots of Blackbirds & Song Thrushes heard and/or recorded. The arrival was still evident in daylight this morning.

Glossy Ibis – 1 still on Tresco, Simpson’s Field.

Spotted Sandpiper – 1 still on Porthloo Beach.

Dusky Warbler – 1 possibly 2 in sallows on Higher Moors between the road and Holy Vale.

Cattle Egret – 1 in Salakee Farm fields.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 in bushes at Newford Duck Pond.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 5 in Lower Moors, 1 in the Standing Stones Field and 1 on Porth Hellick Loop.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose – 8 off South Beach, Tresco.

Reed Warbler – The late bird was still in Lower Moors.

Lapwing – 1 on Newfoundland rocks in Porth Hellick Bay and it or another flew over St. Martin’s Vineyard.

Woodcock – 1 Lower Moors, 1 Porth Hellick and 1 flew across the road near the entrance to Higher Moors.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 singing north of Porth Hellick Loop.

Swallow – 3 over the Anglican church in Hugh town,

Black Redstart – 2 still on Porthloo Beach and 1 a garden on High Lanes.

Brambling – 8 Lower Moors.
