St Mary’s – The Tawny Owl reported earlier in the week was found at Carn Friars in a poor state of health and was taken into care. A Nightingale, a Wryneck (possibly 2), a White Wagtail and a  Common Redstart were all on Peninnis Head. The Garrison held Pied Flycatcher, Willow Warbler and good numbers of Blackcap. A Whinchat was in the standing stones field. The Red-backed Shrike was still at Carn Friars and a Peregrine, 2 Snipe, a Water Rail and a Yellow wagtail were at Porth Hellick. Twenty-seven Sanderling were on Porthloo beach and on the evening pelagic 2 Great Skuas, an Arctic Skua and 25 Storm-petrels were seen.

Tean – 2 adult Med Gulls

Bryher – A Dotterel was at Shipman Head Down. Two Common Redstart, a Spotted Flycatcher and a Whinchat were also seen on the island.
