Great White Egret, Tresco, Joe Pender

Olive-backed Pipit – 1 was still in a field opposite the dump allotments and a second bird was found at Carn Friars.

Grey-cheeked Thrush – 1 still at Little Porth.

Dusky Warbler – 1 was ringed at Porth Hellick and it or another was later seen at Carn Friars.

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 on Tresco.

Great White Egret – 1 seen on various beaches around St. Mary’s before moving to St. Martin’s Flats.

Common Rosefinch – 1 in a weedy field opposite Porth Mellon Industrial Estate.

Hen Harrier – An adult male and a ringtail were seen over several islands.

Wryneck – 1 on Trewince Farm.

Hawfinch – 1 still in a garden in Old Town.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 still at Porth Hellick.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 8 on St. Mary’s.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 in Lower Moors.

Firecrest – 1 Porth Hellick and 1 Salakee Farm.

Jack Snipe – 2 Porth Hellick and 2 Lower Moors.

Long-tailed Duck – 1 on the bays around Hugh Town before moving to the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Red-breasted Merganser – 1 Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Short-eared Owl – 1 on Bryher

Merlin – 2 Trewince Farm.

Lapwing – 4 Pungies Lane.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 on St. Martin’s.

Woodcock – 1 Carn Friars and 1 Bryher.

Mistle Thrush – 1 Carn Friars and 1 Salakee Farm.

Brambling – 3 Carn Friars.

Lesser Redpoll – 5 were ringed at Porth Hellick and one of these or another was seen at Carn Friars.

Reed Bunting – 1 Lower Moors, 2 seen at Carn Friars, 1 of which may have been the individual ringed earlier at nearby Porth Hellick
