Wednesdays birds were:

St Martins – The Laughing Gull was still on the beach at Higher Town and a Hawfinch was at Middle Town.

St Mary’s – A female Firecrest was on the Garrison with good numbers of Willow Warblers reported. A Hawfinch was in a private garden at High Lanes and the Pied Flycatcher was at Carreg Dhu gardens again. A Shelduck, a Greenshank, 5 Sand Martins, 6 House Martins and 8 Swallows were at Porth Hellick Pool. A Water Rail was in a garden at Holy Vale.

Tresco – 5 Black-tailed Godwits were on Great Pool.

Thursdays Birds were:

St Martin’s – The Laughing Gull was still present on the beach at Higher Town. A possible Dartford Warbler was in gorse above Great Bay.

St Marys – A Stone Curlew flew from the pig field on Peninnis Head early evening but could not be relocated. A Greenland Wheatear was at Peninnis and the Pied Flycatcher remained in Carreg Dhu gardens. A female Merlin flew over the airfield and both Reed and Sedge Warblers were at Lower Moors.

St Agnes – 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 5 Whimbrel and 2 Shelduck

Bryher – A Turtle Dove was at Hillside Farm
