St. Mary’s – The Lapwing, a Common Sandpiper, a Dunlin, a Redshank and 10 Greenshanks. A Common Sandpiper was at Bar Point.
Tresco – 12 Little Egrets, a Mediterranean Gull and a Northern Wheatear.
At sea – 10 European Storm-petrels, a Cory’s, a Balearic, 4 Great & 7 Sooty Shearwaters were seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
The evening fishing trip produced 2 Wilson’s Storm-petrels, 10+ European Storm-petrels, 40 Cory’s Shearwaters, 12 Great Shearwaters, a Sooty Shearwater and a Great Skua. Also 2 Ocean Sunfish were seen and 6 Blue Sharks were caught, tagged and released.
