Wednesdays Birds were:

St Mary’s – An Alpine Swift was over Peninnis during the afternoon with a Common Swift at Porth Hellick as was a Redshank and the pair of Teal were still present.

Tresco – An Iceland Gull was noted today along with a single Sanderling, two Tufted Ducks, two Swifts and six Pochard

Thursdays Birds were:

St Mary’s – The Alpine Swift was over Peninnis in the morning before moving to Porth Hellick later in the day

Tresco – The Iberian Chiffchaff was still singing near the Abbey.

Fridays Birds were:

St Mary’s – A male Red-backed Shrike was ringed at Porth Hellick in the morning and was seen at nearby Carn Friars later in the day. A Marsh Warbler was reported singing at MacFarland’s Down in the morning with a Golden Oriole found at Trenoweth in the evening. A Wryneck and a Spotted Flycatcher were on Lower Moors and the Alpine Swift was over Telegraph

Saturdays Birds were:

St Mary’s – The Alpine Swift was over Lower Moors/Jackson’s Hill in the morning

St Martin’s – A Grey Heron and a Swift were seen on the island today.

At Sea – An adult Sabine’s Gull was seen from the afternoon crossing to Scilly this afternoon.

Sundays Birds were:

St Mary’s – The male Marsh Harrier was seen over the Golf Course this morning and the Alpine Swift was over Halvear.

Tresco – The Iberian Chiffchaff was still singing near the Abbey this afternoon and an Iceland Gull was on Simpson’s Field.

St Agnes – A Golden Oriole was seen on Wingletang Down this morning.
