St Mary’s  – The first Common Crane since 2004 was found at Porth Hellick this morning before being seen in several locations around the island on a foggy morning. At least two Night Herons were seen in flight over Lower Moors today but there has been no sign of the Great Blue Heron so far.

St Martin’s –  A Wryneck was near Little Arthur Farm cafe; a Short-toed Lark originally found near Little Arthur Farm moved to the paths on the north side of the island. Five Golden Orioles were moving along the ridge of the island and were least seen heading towards Top Rock Hill. Also on the island today were ten Common Whitethroats, some Sedge Warblers, a Skylark, fourteen Golden Plovers, a Pied Wagtail, a Whinchat and two Spotted Flycatchers.
